From the month of May through October, a private yacht cruise along the crystal clear waters of the Aegean Sea or the Mediterranean is a “dreamlike experience” , o/b one of our Turkish wooden yachts named “GULETs”, of different sizes from 18 to 33 meters with 4 to 18 tiny cabins (with double beds), each having its own toilet/shower facilities-on a modest but functional basis. A licensed captain, an assistant and a cook (with little or no English) are at the service of guests on a full time basis. To facilitate services o/b, we engage one of our dedicated bilingual guides to accompany and assist the guests by cruising with them o/b, also for shore excursions to historical and cultural sites and seaside villages along the virgin shores.

The cruise program is custom tailored by UTS from three to seven days, from/to the same yacht base/pier of Bodrum, Gocek or Antalya. UTS designs the private land program before and after the yacht cruise, tailored to deliver to our guests an unforgettable experience of Turkey.

GULETs are in fact motor sailors, having comfortable deck space for outdoor living-even for sleeping - if preferred- under the magical brilliant skies on warm nights. The majority of our GULET fleet has A/C cabins. The facilities o/b are typically local and basic, in comparison to the luxury of international cruise ships. Hence the exotic charm of GULETs, with the motor humming for maximum four hours a day, as the yacht moves from one hidden cove to another along the lace-like shores, to dock for the night until next days’ cruising starts, at the guests’ pleasure, after the day’s activities of swimming, fishing,or discovering the historical riches on the shores, as they please. Using the sails is up to the Captain’s decision, in accordance with the winds at the time, and the security of the guests.

Regularly, the sheets and towels are changed twice a week. Should the guests have other preferences in this regard, we deliver their wish accordingly. The guests are recommended to bring their own beach towels, and carry a small piece of luggage per person - as they only would need outfits suitable for sailing o/b a small GULET. With regard to equipment o/b, each GULET may be loaded with the requirements of the guests.(Such as windsurf, fishing equipment, nets, masks, snorkels, flippers at a supplement) The GULETs are equipped with VHF radio telephone, direction finder, Furuno radar and stereo CD player. The daily GULET rates include the services of the crew ,fuel (up to four hours of cruising / per day), port charges in Turkey (except at private marinas), utility water, and the locally required official insurance of the yacht itself. The private yacht charter rates vary between $ 900.- and $ 12.000 (subject to 18% VAT) per day according to the type /age of the yacht as well as the month of its charter.

Full board meals are provided at a supplement to include a continental breakfast, lunch and dinner of local dishes, cooked o/b and served by the crew. Drinks (alcoholic or non-alcoholic) are payable directly to the captain o/b, by the guests, as per a price list to be provided upon request. While the guests may bring their own drinks, special requests in this regard will be serviced (at a supplement).

UTS coordinates the approval of the legal charter agreement based on int’l regulations, to be signed by the chartering agency at the time of the booking, stipulating the responsibilities of the agent to the charterer and v.v. Upon UTS’s receipt of the charter agreement and 35 % down payment we confirm the yacht charter for a specified period. In case of a cancellation, the down payment is non-refundable. The balance of the total cruise cost need be received by UTS, 60 days prior to embarkation.
